Ketro's aspiration is to become a Prestigious lecturer and researcher in the field of data science in South Africa. Through my skills and expertise, he aims to devise innovative solutions to tackle some of the country's most pressing socioeconomic challenges. H9s ultimate objective is to be a catalyst for change in my community, especially for young people, by demonstrating that one can excel in the tech industry despite their background as long they are committed to growth.

After establishing my professional reputation, he is committed to utilizing his knowledge and abilities to make a positive difference in the lives of others. This value will remain central to my career as I strive to serve my community and contribute to a brighter future for all."

His highlights include:

1. He was selected by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) to serve as a technical mentor for South African universities in 2022 Datathon.  In this role, he provided guidance to final year students, helped them improve their problem-solving, discernment, and decision-making skills, discussed technical concepts, and facilitated their understanding of open data sources in order to produce high-quality code.

2. Over the course of 12 months, he has won 6 Hackathons and got invite to be a mentor or judge for some hackathons that happen in the country

3. He is the Vice Chairperson of the University of Pretoria School of Information Technology.

  • A student at the university of Pretoria majoring in Data Sciences his current project is a sentiment analysis app that helps students choose good careers through the use of sentiments and will be using open data research. other aspects of the project are brand monitoring, reputation management.

    He is using a Hybrid Approach: This approach combines elements of supervised and unsupervised learning. These Laws and regulations will be observed and followed.

    1. Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA):
    2. Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA):
    3. Consumer Protection Act (CPA):

    His cognitive process involves a systematic and analytical approach as follows:

    Data Collection: Collect data from different sources, such as online job postings, social media, blogs, forums, and career websites, related to different tech careers. Pre-processing: Clean the data by removing noise, duplicates, and irrelevant information. Also, preprocess the data by removing stop words, stemming, and lemmatization.

    Sentiment Analysis: Apply sentiment analysis techniques, such as Text Blob, VADER, or Stanford CoreNLP, to the pre-processed data to classify the data into positive, negative, or neutral sentiments.

    Data Visualization: Visualize the sentiment analysis results using different graphs and charts, such as pie charts, histograms, and word clouds.

    Recommendation System: Build a recommendation system that recommends the best tech career based on the sentiment analysis results. The system can suggest careers that have the highest positive sentiment scores and the lowest negative sentiment scores. Evaluation: Evaluate the accuracy of the sentiment analysis and recommendation system by comparing their results with the actual feedback from professionals in the tech industry. This project can help students make informed decisions about their career choices in the tech industry by providing them with accurate and reliable feedback from various sources. the bigger picture is to end the digital divide in the country and Africa as a whole.


    An affordable document management system and information center can greatly benefit small, medium, and micro-sized enterprises (SMMEs) by providing a structured way to store their information. Such a system should enable SMMEs to easily and securely store and retrieve their documents, with the ability to back up that information to the cloud. This would not only help to prevent the loss of important information, but also streamline business processes and increase productivity.


    The system aims to assist individuals of varying educational backgrounds to manage their businesses without struggling to comprehend its technical aspects. This would help to simplify the process and enable entrepreneurs to focus on their core business activities, rather than being bogged down by complex technical requirements.
