Dear African Geeks,

Africa has a lot of potential to be the best place on Earth. This is how I would have made a better Africa. Looking at the current rate of unemployment, it makes sense to create opportunities for young people, who are more capable of coming up with innovations and new ways to improve the country. By this solution alone, we can eliminate many other problems such as crime, teenage pregnancy, and a weak economy. Now the question becomes: how do we achieve that?

I am a graduate in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from Wits. I am a business analyst by profession and a developer at heart.

I am extremely motivated to continuously develop my skills and grow professionally. I enjoy turning ideas into functional digital experiences while focusing on performance, design, and seamless user interaction.

Outside of work, I am a pro pool (snooker) player and semi-pro bowling player. I enjoy board games with friends and family, hiking, and exploring new technology as a tech enthusiast.

Here are some of the projects that Ricardo has built for the public to use. Mzansi Charades - A fun mobile game that brings people together making nights and get togethers fun. Unilinks SA - An app for high school learners to get all the latest info about varsity applications deadlines, prospectus, set reminders and track their application statuses. Cardz - Allowing SA users to keep their wallets clean by storing their loyalty cards online, the app works offline, people can add cards to apple wallet and can also add their grocery shopping lists
