The Geekulcha Annual Hackathon in partnership with UNISA was set against the Geekulcha’s focus on the need to help channel a sustainable Geek Culture in South Africa. Ahead of the Hackathon, a partners and sponsors breakfast event was hosted to connect and thank all those involved in supporting the hackathon.

This was a 42-hour Hackathon, all weekend of Code and no sleep. Participants needed to register to take part. Teams of up to 6 members were formed during the Hackathon and mentors were allocated to the teams.
