Geek Culture
Our Story

Built from
the Ground Up

Geekulcha was established on 15 March 2013 β€” a platform where young, skilled, creative, and ambitious tech minds could meet, connect, share knowledge, and collaborate on projects.

What started as a small community of passionate young geeks has grown into a nationally recognised youth technology movement with over 34 000 techies and innovators across Africa, spanning all 9 provinces.

We are a developmental organisation focused on empowering young geeks through ICT skills development and training, giving them industry exposure, and championing inclusion and sustainable growth prospects for the marginalised.

We run hackathons, coding bootcamps, robotics labs, drone academies, and many more programmes β€” because we believe talent is everywhere but opportunity is not.
